What is Earth Club?
Earth Club is a club on campus,
dedicated to trying to find ways to keep our school, our community, and
the earth a cleaner, better place for everyone living there.
What do we do?
They recycle all of the school's
bottles, cans, and paper, find new and exciting ways to get people
active about saving the earth, and inform us of innovative ways to keep
our houses running energy efficient while saving us money.
What have we done?
The Earth Club has recycled vast
amounts of cans, bottles, and paper from all over the school, cleaned
up our highways via the Adopt-A-Highway cleanup, and is always thinking
up ideas to help CHS be a cleaner, earth-friendly environment.
How can I help?
Come to an Earth Club meeting,
every other Wednesday at lunch, or go to JP's room during lunch or
break to get a study hall pass for recycling.
What's going on in Earth
Club?
We’re holding a CFL light bulb
exchange in front of Marval in Valley Springs, where you can bring a
normal light bulb, and trade it in for 2 CFL light bulbs. We want enough for everyone, so only
one trade-in per event.
We need more recyclers! Get a study hall pass from JP, and
come and help us recycle paper, cans and bottles from all over the
school every Friday. We need
your help, and it’s always a fun time, so come on by!
